The Questions You Should Ask On A First Date

It's been a while since I've had to go on a first date (and for that I am very thankful!) but there are some really important things you should address on a first date.

Luckily the wonderful people at Cosmo have rounded up those VERY crucial questions you should be asking on the first date:

Are you a morning or a night person? If you're going to begin a relationship with someone, it's good to know their personal ideal schedule. Like, should the date be earlier because they have to get to bed early?

What is something you are dying to try? This can give you great insight into someone's personality because the answers could range from "sail around the world" to "threesome" and will help you figure out what the person is really all about without sounding like you're putting pressure on them.

Are you a cat or dog person? I mean, what if they answer that they don't like animals at all. Good to know right away.

Who did you vote for? Unfortunate to have to ask but, you get the point.

Who pays your rent?/What do you do all day? These questions are important especially when you're younger. If he's 27 with his parents paying his rent and he said he just... hangs out all day? Personally, that's not someone I would want to get involved with. If he's in a rough patch and doesn't have a steady job but explains that he spends his days meeting with people and applying for jobs, that's okay!

What's the last good thing you read? Someone's opinion of what they consider a 'good' read is really telling. It can be anything from a book to a great article, but it will also tell you if you have the same taste.

Do you like your job? This will not only give you an insight into what exactly they do, but also show you a lot about their personality type and how they handle conflict based on how they discuss any issues they may have at work.

How often do you visit home? Their answer will reveal just how close with their family they are without you having to ask directly how close they are with their family. It also may open the door for them to reveal any family drama they may deal with on a regular basis.

So there you have it! Keep these questions in your back pocket!
