A Man Has Tooth Removed...From His Nose

A man who was having trouble breathing through his nose has landed in a medical journal after doctors discovered what the issue was. He had a rouge tooth growing up in it.

The 59-year-old had complained of a stuffy nose, and the gradual loss of his sense of smell over the last two years and had sought the help of a specialist after nothing else seemed to be working. When doctors did a CT scan, they noticed a strange object inside his nasal passage. His doctors suspected a dermoid cyst, which can take on a strange appearance and have hair or other bizarre features. But they were way off.

Turns out that when the doctors surgically removed the growth, they discovered an extremely rare instance of a rogue tooth. The case is so rare, that doctors estimate it occurs in just 0.1 to 1 percent of patients. The man began to feel better and is on the road to a full recovery. No word on what they did with the tooth or how long it might have been growing up his nose.
