Halsey Confirms 'Loud' New Album Will Release This Year

2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards – Show

In a new update on her third studio album, set to release this year, Halsey warned fans to brace their eardrums for a "loud" follow-up to 2017's Hopeless Fountain Kingdom.

“I know you guys are anxious for new music and new memories for touring and travelling with your friends for events and pop ups and meeting new people for music video screenshots for group chats and late night,” the "Colors" singer tweeted early Tuesday morning (March 26). “Thank you for being patient with me. I want it to be perfect."

The vocalist went on to describe the songwriting process as "a lesson in forgiving myself" and "being proud of myself and kind to myself despite how much this world is designed to make you hate yourself, adding, "I hope when it’s finally in your hands it brings you that same peace. It’s not a quiet piece. It’s a loud one."

So far, Halsey has issued just one project in 2019, an emo-induced collab called "11 Minutes" with alleged boyfriend YUNGBLUD and Blink-182‘s Travis Barker. A few weeks ago, she stormed the stage to perform the track live at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Though the songbird has yet to provide a release date for her new album, Halsey confirmed her new LP will arrive this year.
