Mindy Kaling is a mom of three after secretly welcoming her third child earlier this year.
The Office star took to Instagram on Monday (June 24) to share gratitude for the birthday wishes fans have sent in honor of her turning 45 and to make the surprise revelation that she gave birth to her third child, a daughter named Anne, in February. Kaling is also a mom to 6-year-old daughter Katherine "Kit" and 3-year-old son Spencer, per People.
"In late February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne. She's the best birthday present I could've ever imagined," Kaling said, sharing a photo of her cradling her baby bump in a long dress and another of her two oldest children sitting in a hospital bed with her. She also shared a sweet snap of her three kids lounging on a blanket outside, with Kit cuddling up to her baby sister while Spencer kisses her head.
The Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? author added in her heartfelt caption that her children give her strength and inspire her whenever she's feeling down.
"When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great life reminder of the pure joy in my life," she said. "I'm so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline. Thanks for all the birthday wishes."
