Ed Sheeran made history with his latest performance.

On Saturday (January 25), the "Shape of You" singer shared a video on Instagram of his time in Bhutan, including his concert at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimpu that marked the first time a musician not from Bhutan performed in the South Asian country, per People.

In the video, which captured the beauty of the countryside, expansive forests standing tall, bubbling streams running below bridges and clips of people enjoying their day shopping and walking around, Sheeran revealed that he was "super honored" to be chosen for the milestone performance. He even had dinner with King Jigme Khesar and Queen Jetsun Pema, who reportedly said, "We just want people coming to the country that want to love and respect the country and understand the ideals."

"I've been all around the world, been to some amazing places but I've never done anything like this before," he said. "To be able to visit a country like Bhutan, to be able to stand on stage and bring the show here... I can remember playing to an empty room and now I get to play the first international concert in Bhutan ever."

The "Bad Habits" musician kept that love going in the caption.

"Had the honour to be the first ever international artist to play Bhutan last night," he wrote. "What a gig, what a country, what a beautiful place with incredible people."

After hinting to fans to "lemme know if I can move there, please and thank you," he shared his gratitude for both the country as a whole and his touring crew for making the "historic show" possible.

"and also thank you so much for welcoming me and my touring crew, and for every volunteer who helped put on such a historic show," he wrote. "hopefully see you again soon!"
