Sean "Diddy" Combs is optimistic he will come out victorious in his sex trafficking case as his trial date gets closer.

On Monday, March 17, The Shade Room uploaded a video of Ye talking to Diddy while he's behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. During their conversation, Diddy told Ye he expects to beat the charges he's facing, which include sex trafficking, racketeering, and kidnapping.

“This shit is fucking sad, n***a. I’m Puff Daddy in jail," he told Ye. "This s**t is f**king sad as a muthaf**ka, b. The devil is a liar."

“When I get out and get that f**king freedom, whew! I am not caring about nothing but muthaf**kin’ being happy and I want you to feel that," Diddy continued. "You be careful out there because they definitely trying to end us. They can’t do it and they ain’t gon’ do it. I’m gonna beat this s**t and get next to you and we gon’ raise our families and become the kings that we supposed to be.”

Diddy also told Ye he wants to see him enjoy making music again and thanked him for supporting and checking on his family while he's locked up. The Chicago rapper used pieces of their conversation for his recent song "Lonely Roads Still To Go Sunshine." The track begins with Diddy's words followed by verses from King Combs and Ye's daughter North West. Ye eventually deleted the song amid his ongoing legal issues with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

The 55-year-old artist shared his thoughts about his case less than two months before his trial is set to begin. Diddy was scheduled to face his charges in court on May 5. He previously pleaded not guilty to all charges. However, Deadline reported the date was moved following a pre-trial conference last week. The trial was delayed by a week to allow both sides more time to make decisions about disclosure of evidence, jury selection, and other motions. Proceedings for the trial will now begin on May 12.
