New Orleans residents turn homes into Mardi Gras floats

New Orleans is so good at turning bad situations into something they can smile about.

They may not be having their usual Mardi Gras parades this week, but they're still putting their creativity on display.

Instead, they've been decorating homes to look like floats. So instead of the floats driving by, people can drive or walk by, maybe get some beads, and take it all in. People are also decorating little doghouses!

Check out some of the fun:

Something tells me this will become an annual tradition, even when the parades happen "normally." The people of New Orleans don't go halfway... and they love a tradition. Or maybe I'm just HOPING this becomes an annual thing.
