LA County College Students Are Now Able To Take The Metro For Free

The Metro's GoPass program is expanding thanks to a $1 million federal grant where it will expand from just L.A. Community College District students to now all community college students within the L.A. County.

"Even better just because I know I won't have to waste none of my money on transportation. Especially spending money on gas or car payment is just not the thing for me as a student," said Jade Medina, a student at L.A. Valley College.

Students who attend any community college in L.A. County are able to take the Metro for free, which will help so many students save on transportation especially if they can't afford it. Students will be able to use a Metro Tap card, provided by the program, to use any Metro buses and trains as well as 13 other transit systems. Click here for more.
