The first Democratic primary debates of the 2020 presidential election are happening today and tomorrow at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami.

Traffic in the area is going to be a hot mess. Lucky for you, the City of Miami Police Department has released the following road closures:

Biscayne Boulevard between N.E. 13th Street and N.E. 14th Street will be completely closed between 4 p.m. – 1 a.m. on event days. All vehicular traffic traveling north and south will be re-routed.

Northbound traffic will be rerouted at N.E. 11th Street; vehicles will travel to N.E. 1st Avenue and continue north. Motorists wishing to continue northbound on Biscayne Boulevard may do so at N.E. 15th Street.

Southbound traffic will be rerouted at N.E. 15th Street; vehicles will travel west to N.E. 2nd Avenue or east to N. Bayshore Drive. Motorists wishing to continue south bound on Biscayne Boulevard may do so at N.E. 10th Street, as directed by the detour signage.

From June 22-28, one westbound lane will be closed between N. Bayshore Drive and Biscayne Boulevard for initial set up and media logistics staging area.

All expressway entrance and exit ramps will remain open.

Police say all organizers of demonstrations and processions are being advised to stage at N. Bayshore Drive and NE 14th Street on the northeast corner.
