Did you hear about the jeans that unzip to flash your rear end? Well, as confused as we were by those, the new denim that has us scratching our heads actually converts from jeans to jorts, and it looks as confusing as it sounds. The jeans are from Y/Project, the French hipster label and we just don’t get it.
Here’s how the jean/jorts work: They look like other jeans from the leg to the top of the thigh, where you’ll see the crotch area is attached to the lower part with some buttons. Undo those and you’ve got a pair of booty shorts. Yeah, we told you it didn’t make sense.
For those of us who aren’t into high fashion, these are just another fashion trend that seems too much for us. Why not just wear shorts when you want shorts and another entirely separate pair of pants when you want jeans? For the $425 this combo pair sells for, you could buy both. And we’re pretty sure they’d have to look better.
