Wedding season is in full swing and that means trying to figure out a gift.
Besides your outfit, the biggest thing to focus on is the cost of your present. Thanks to the site Tendr, a cool way to send cash gifts, Has put together a list of how much you should spend on a nuptial gift depending on state.
In Iowa they recommend spending at least $148 and in Illinois it goes up to $190!
Only a handful of states get away with shelling out double digits. They are are:
- Arkansas: $73
- Idaho: $95
- Indiana: $86
- Kansas: $97
- Mississippi: $88
- North Dakota: $86
As for the most expensive states, Vermont is number one with $245 being shelled out per wedding gift! Rhode Island comes in second with $235. New York comes in at $191 and California at $150.
