Want to catch a buzz without that pesky hangover alcohol can cause? Rebel Coast Winery thinks they’ve found the way to make that happen with their cannabis-infused wine that’s also alcohol-free.
The California winery is taking preorders for what they say is the world’s first no-alcohol, cannabis-infused wine, a Sauvignon Blanc. “It’s not a bong water smelling slop, it’s actually insanely good. It smells like marijuana and tastes like Sauvignon Blanc,” according to Rebel Coast’s website. “Because of the marijuana addition, this Sauvignon Blanc has a very herbaceous nose,” with notes of “lemongrass, lavender, and citrus.”
Each bottle contains 16 milligrams of THC, the chemical in pot that gets you high. Each serving only has four milligrams of THC, so you should be fine to sip a glass of weed wine and not lose your mind like in some stoner movie.
Rebel Coast is shipping the first batch of orders in California in January, after recreational use becomes officially legal there. Then they’re going to roll it out in other states where recreational use is legal, like Colorado. The winery is planning on releasing a cannabis-infused rosé and a sparkling wine next year, so next summer could be hangover free!
