Here's The Most (And Least) Patriotic States

While a lot of people profess to love America, there are certainly areas of the country that are more patriotic than others. And in honor of the upcoming July 4th holiday, WalletHub has revealed which states show off their patriotism the most.

The site just released their list of the Most Patriotic States in the U.S., comparing each state on 13 key indicators, including share of adults who voted in the last presidential election, share of enlisted military population, AmeriCorps volunteers per capita and more.

Based on these criteria, the site named Virginia the most patriotic state, earning a score of 70.48 out of 100, with Alaska in second with 69.98, although they rank first when it comes to military engagement. As for civil engagement, Vermont tops the list.

  5. Idaho
  6. Colorado
  7. Hawaii
  8. Washington
  9. North Carolina
  10. Georgia

As for the least patriotic state, Massachusetts earns the “honor,” with a score of just 26.60, landing in 49th for military engagement and 38th for civic engagement.
