WTF?!? Bridezilla Enforces Dress Code Based On Guests’ Weight

An unnamed bride-to-be thought she was doing guests a favor by giving them the dress code for her destination wedding in Hawaii a whopping year-and-a-half in advance. But people probably weren’t so thankful for the fact that the outfit options were outlined based on guests’ weight… plus, they cost a pretty penny, too.

To add insult to injury, the guests who weigh less were asked to wear pretty extravagant, sometimes designer items… while those weighing more are asked to simply wear black and camouflage.

According to the bride’s post to Facebook, the dress code is so strict because the outfits will create “an incredible visual effect” for their planned synchronized dancing video on the beach. Here’s what she’s asking each weight group to wear:

  • Women weighing 100-160 pounds have been asked to wear a green velvet sweater, orange suede pants, Louboutin heels and a Burberry scarf.
  • Men weighing 100-200 pounds are to wear a purple “fuzzy” jacket, a soda hat, white sneakers, and carry plain glow sticks
  • Women weighing more than 160 pounds have been asked to wear a black sweater and pants and black heels… and that’s it.
  • Men weighing more than 200 pounds are to wear “all camouflage” and black sneakers

On top of all that, the bride says that they won’t even be wearing those outfits for very long. They’ve been asked to buy a separate, formal outfit for the rest of the night. So not only will some people have to shell out cash for designer shoes, but everyone has to prepare an ensemble “valued at least $1,000" – including accessories, makeup, and hair – as well for the “24k-themed” wedding.
