Job Description:
• Maintain safe and well-organized workplace and execute autonomous maintenance activities in given scope according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Process execution and daily management
• Execute production according to production orders and other given specifications, work and quality instructions reaching to daily production targets given by Production Supervisor and/or Factory Work Leader.
• Report non-conformances (e.g. Andon, Downtime, Mark Issue) to relevant party and fixing issue according instructions.
• Confirm production order operations timely manner with given tools and according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) after execution

POSITION DESCRIPTON:
On shift Maintenance operators are responsible to perform preventative maintenance on equipment as well as repairs to minimize Mill production delays, follow all maintenance JSA’s, and SSAB’s safety policies. POSITION DESCRIPTON:
This position will be responsible for a variety of software engineering and process engineering functions including: analyzing process performance, development and design of process changes, managing the implementation of process improvements and project management of related engineering activities.

- Develop methods and practices that will improve the quality of products, expand the product mix and reduce manufacturing costs through specialized application and use of automation technology.

- Maintain control models related to precision closed-loop industrial control.

- The Reheat Furnace control including heat transfer, heat content and practice development.
- The Steckel Mill control including AGC, AWC, shape control, pass-to-pass adaption, thermal modelling, gap control calculations, tapering, roll bending compensation, work roll thermal camber, work roll wear, Pinch Roll control, laminar cooling heat transfer and mechanical equipment limitations.
- Electrical systems, specifically Ansaldo, Siemens and Allen Bradley-brand equipment.
- Other equipment including the downcoiler, hot plate leveller, cold static shear, cold plate leveller, plate pilers and slitter.
- Plan and coordinate activities related to the concept, final design, bidding, bid evaluation for the construction, modification and maintenance of facility equipment.

- Establish standards and procedures for installation, modification, quality control, testing and acceptance procedures required for the successful implementation of the projects.

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience and Competencies Required:
- Minimum of 5 years-experience programming industrial process control systems
- Possess the intimate knowledge of process interactions between control layers and physical processes in a steel plate manufacturing facility
- Exercise sound engineering and economic judgement and discretion due to the physical and economic impact his recommendations will have on the overall operation of the Plant.
- Equipment and process knowledge including industrial control computer processors, multi-tasking operating systems, real time communications systems, programmable logic controllers, casting concepts, rolling concepts and the ability to integrate them into a working process control system.
- Proficiency in Fortran and C, C++, C# or Vb.net programming languages is required.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of steel rolling and the mathematical concepts supporting each of these processes.
- Good problem solving, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Project management experience
- Experience preferred in working with DEC VMS or Open VMS operating systems, DEC Alpha processors, DEC UNIX operating systems, Ethernet and ARCNET real time communications systems, Siemens or Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers
- Database management: MS SQL or Oracle desirable
Education Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related scientific field
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- This position operates in an office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, network tools/equipment, phones and scanners. This role is partially sedentary (average of 7 hours per day) however, some handling of materials is required. POSITION PURPOSE

- Provide expert advice, system troubleshooting and direct hands-on support to the Maintenance/Operating Groups in the Aux Services Department while ensuring compliance with established specifications and industrial standards. - Provide Process Control Software expert advice, system troubleshooting and direct hands-on support to the Maintenance/Operating Group of the Aux Services department including Water treatment Plants, Baghouse facilities and Main Power Substation.

POSITION PURPOSE
This position will be responsible for a variety of software engineering and maintenance functions including: analyzing process performance, evaluating necessary process changes, managing the implementation of process improvements and reporting process performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Electrical systems, specifically Allen Bradley-brand related equipment.
- Other equipment that provides specialized man-machine interfaces, networking to business systems, connections to supplier networks and information flow to intra-net communications.
- Provide Process and System Root-Cause Analysis
- Provide problem solving related to processing a product through the Plant.
- Provide problem solving related to application code problems.
- Provide problem solving from an overall system perspective.

QUALIFICATIONS
Competencies and Experience
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience programming industrial process control systems.
- Possess the knowledge of process interactions between control layers and physical processes in a steel plate manufacturing facility.
- Exercise sound engineering and economic judgement and discretion with regard to process control decision-making.
- Equipment and process knowledge including industrial control computer processors, multi-tasking operating systems, real time communications systems, programmable logic controllers, manufacturing concepts and the ability to integrate them into a working process control system.
- Mathematical concepts supporting closed-loop real-time manufacturing controls.
- Good problem solving, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Capable of working effectively with minimal direction or supervision.
Preferred:
- Experience working with Ethernet and real time communications systems, TPL for Level 1.5 Data communications, TCP/IP networking, Allen Bradley PLC’s (RS Logix 5000 family), AC, DC Digital Drives.
- Knowledge of various PC operating systems.
- Previous experience in troubleshooting industrial electrical and electronic systems.
- Formal training in computer hardware/software from manufacturers or suppliers.
- IBA Data Collection Systems.
- Certifications in computer skills such as database management, networking, specialized languages or software suites.
- Programing languages: C, C++, Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000.
Education
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science or related scientific field

This position operates in both the office and industrial environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment. This role is partially sedentary (average of 4 hours per day).
